The Mission of RGPG Innovation cell is to-
1. Promote Innovation: Encourage a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among
students and faculty.
2. Support Startups: Provide resources and support for startups and entrepreneurial ventures
initiated by students and staff.
3. Facilitating Collaboration: Foster partnerships with industry, academia, and research
organizations to advance innovative projects.
4. Organizing Events: Conduct workshops, seminars, and events to enhance skills and
knowledge related to innovation and entrepreneurship.
5. Encouraging Research: Support research activities and projects that contribute to
technological advancement and societal impact.
6. Building Ecosystem: Develop an innovation ecosystem within the institution to sustain
and scale innovative ideas.
* Journey of IIC established at the Institute
Introduction:
In Feburary 2022, the RGPG Innovation Cell was founded at Raghunath Girls' Post Graduate
College College with the vision of fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship
among students. This initiative aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their
creative ideas and contribute to the broader innovation ecosystem.
Objectives: The RGPG Innovation Cell was established to encourage student-driven projects
and promote awareness about intellectual property rights (IPR), patents, startup projects,
entrepreneurship skills development and orientation. Its primary goals included supporting
innovative student projects, fostering a collaborative environment, and enhancing knowledge
about IPR.
Student Projects and Recognition:
In its inaugural year, the Innovation Cell facilitated the submission of 5 student projects to
the University Innovation Centre( SCIC). The exceptional quality of these projects was
recognized with cash prizes awarded to the students, highlighting the cell's commitment to
rewarding creativity and hard work.
IPR Awareness Program:
The Innovation Cell organized an IPR awareness program in collaboration with the National
IP Awareness Mission (NIPAM). This event aimed to educate students about the importance
of intellectual property and how to protect their innovations effectively.
Years 2023 and 2024: Growth and Continued Impact
Ongoing Activities and Programs:
Building on its success in 2022, the RGPG Innovation Cell continued to organize various
activities and programs directed by MIC including IIC Calender activities ,MIC driven
activity, Day celebration activity and self driven activities. This included workshops,
seminars, guest lectures and collaborative events with other institutions and industry experts
to keep students engaged and informed about the latest trends and opportunities in
innovation.
Expansion and Future Plans:
The cell's efforts to encourage innovation and provide a platform for students have grown
over the years. Looking ahead, the RGPG Innovation Cell plans to introduce more advanced
programs, enhance partnerships with industry leaders, and continue its mission of nurturing
young innovators.
