Raghunath Girls’ Post Graduate College, Meerut actively participates in the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Education aimed at transforming rural India through the engagement of higher educational institutions. The programme reflects the college’s commitment to inclusive growth, social responsibility, and community-oriented learning.
Under UBA, the college has adopted 5 villages in consultation with local authorities and Panchayati Raj Institutions.
Faculty members and students regularly conduct field visits, surveys, and need-based assessments to understand the socio-economic conditions and grassroots challenges of rural communities. These activities help bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-life rural issues.
The institution emphasizes the use of eco-friendly, sustainable technologies and local resources to support holistic village development. Efforts are made to create awareness about government schemes, promote their effective implementation, and generate livelihood opportunities for rural populations.
By leveraging its knowledge base and collaborating with district administration and community stakeholders, Raghunath Girls’ PG College strives to contribute meaningfully to rural development and nation-building.
