The RGPG Innovation Council was established in February 2022 at Raghunath Girls’ Post Graduate College with the vision of promoting a culture of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship among students. The cell provides a dynamic platform where students can transform their ideas into impactful projects and actively contribute to the innovation ecosystem.
The Innovation Council encourages student-driven initiatives, promotes awareness about Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), patents, start-ups, and entrepreneurship, and supports the development of innovative thinking and problem-solving skills. It regularly organizes activities guided by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) such as IIC calendar activities, MIC-driven programs, day celebrations, and self-driven initiatives. These activities include workshops, seminars, guest lectures, and collaborative events with academic institutions and industry experts, ensuring that students remain updated with the latest trends and opportunities in innovation and entrepreneurship.
In its inaugural year, the Innovation Cell successfully facilitated the submission of five student projects to the University Innovation Centre (SCIC). The outstanding quality of these projects was recognized through cash prizes awarded to the students, demonstrating the cell’s commitment to encouraging creativity, dedication, and innovative thinking.
Looking ahead, the RGPG Innovation Cell aims to expand its activities by introducing advanced innovation programs, strengthening collaborations with industry leaders and research organizations, and continuing its mission of nurturing young innovators who can contribute meaningfully to society.
