The Psychological Testing & Counselling Centre at R.G. (P.G.) College was established by the Department of Psychology to support the mental health and well-being of students. The centre was inaugurated on 25th March 2008 by Prof. Manas K. Mandal, Director, Defence Institute of Psychological Research (DIPR), DRDO, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi.
The centre serves as a dedicated platform to address the psychological and emotional needs of the student community. It provides a safe, supportive, and confidential environment where students can openly discuss their concerns and seek professional guidance.
The Counselling Centre operates in both online and offline modes, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for all students. It offers a wide range of services, including individual counselling, group counselling sessions, psychological assessments, workshops, and wellness programs. These services are designed to help students effectively manage academic stress, anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, and other personal challenges.
Through professional guidance, students are encouraged to develop coping strategies, build emotional resilience, and set achievable personal and academic goals. The centre plays a vital role in fostering a positive and inclusive campus environment that promotes holistic development and academic success. By proactively addressing mental health concerns, the Psychological Testing & Counselling Centre empowers students to navigate college life with confidence, balance, and well-being.
